I have an honours degree in Speech Pathology and Therapy from Manchester University, England and a Masters in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Alberta. I am registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (chcpbc.org). I am certified with Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (formerly CASALPA) and I am also on the RASP list.
I have worked as a speech language pathologist for over twenty years. During that time I have been involved in the establishment and running of a community based speech therapy program for pre-school aged children, supervised SLP’s, and lectured at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England. I have worked with children with a wide range of difficulties including autism, developmental delay, neurological disorders and learning difficulties. I currently specialize in social cognition and working with individuals on the autism spectrum.
I have completed Michelle Garcia Winner’s Social Thinking® Clinical Training Program Level 1-Assessment Program. I am also very familiar with RDI®, having completed the bulk of the RDI® consultant training in 2007.
In addition, I am a Natural Language Acquisition trained clinician.
